The VMWare console will let you open your virtual machines in VMWare server in a stand alone console window, sometimes this functionality goes haywire, especially in Windows 7 when you are running VMWare server 2.0 and accessing your console using FireFox. You can also use this article as a guide on how to install the VMWare console plugin by following steps 5 through 10.

Step 1: Open FireFox and log on to your VMWare server web interface (by default this is https://yourservername:8333)

Step 2: In FireFox click on Tools then on AddOns

Step 3: Scroll down to the VMWare console plugin, click on it and then click uninstall

Step 4: Click on OK and then click on "Restart FireFox"

Step 5:  After FireFox restarts, sign back on to VMWare server web interface (by default this is https://yourservername:8333)
