YouTube launches the new Edu site

YouTube has launched the new YouTube Edu site which is focused purely on education. It consists of lectures and notes from participating Universities, Colleges and other educational institutions. These lectures and tutorials are arranged in videos and channels just like the normal YouTube channels are.

Currently YouTube Edu includes feeds from about 100 Colleges and Universities. YouTube Edu lets viewers sort clips by school or number of views, the schools might even offer COMPLETE courses or just few lectures. Prestigious institutions such as University of Minnesota and Stanford are available on YouTube Edu and offer a very wide variety of courses and topics.
YouTube continues its good work, no wonder it had created an online viewing record earlier (checkout our post about the online viewing record at http://indiawebsearch.com/content/youtube-creates-online-viewing-record)
